Family Health Services is made up of:
- 26 neighborhood centers,
- hosted by 11 lead agencies,
- with funding and leadership from the Department of Human Services
- and the support of a unique and diverse infrastructure.
Family Support parents, staff, and community partners belong to several countywide groups that meet to share best practices, discuss issues affecting the Centers, and advocate for programs and services that support and strengthen families and communities:
- Family Support Policy Board — an advisory body composed of parent leaders, funders, and other community stakeholders. Members serve on one of four committees: Executive, Collaboration, Communications, and Advocacy.
- Community Voices — parent leaders from across the Family Support network who come together to discuss issues affecting their communities and help educate funders and policymakers about the Family Support model.
- Roundtable — representatives from the eleven lead agencies that operate the centers.
- Site Directors Networking — a group for the Center directors.
- Family Development Specialist Networking — a group for frontline Family Support staff.
- LIFT Network — data and information specialists from each Center.
- Partnerships for Family Support (PFS) — training and technical assistance, and infrastructure support through the University of Pittsburgh Office of Child Development. To learn about and register for professional development opportunities, please visit our For Staff pages and Training Calendar.
