Christine: “My son is starting to thrive”

“I’m newly single, four children, one with a disability. If it had not
been for the Center almost eight years ago I know I wouldn’t
have any of my children.

“My son was born with a cleft palate. He is now two years old. He
speaks with a delay, but because of [my Family Development
Specialist], I was able to be placed with people to help him. He’s
starting to thrive. He’s becoming his own little person. I don’t
know what I would have done if I didn’t have the backing of my
Center. They give me courage. They have made me strong. I’m
confident and I know I am a wonderful mother.”
